Teton Pass is the beating heart of Jackson Hole's downhill and freeride mountain biking scene. Perched high above Wilson, the pass offers some of the steepest, most technical, and most rewarding descents in the Tetons.

The Main Trails

Phillips Ridge is the classic — a rugged ridge-line descent with rock gardens, drops, and jaw-dropping views. Further down, the Blacktron trail delivers fast, flowy berms and jumps for riders looking to send it. Jimmy Mom is another local favorite, offering a more technical, old-school feel.

Shuttling and Parking

Most riders shuttle: drop a car at the Phillips Canyon trailhead, then drive up to the summit lot on Highway 22. The climb back up is a serious grunt at altitude, so shuttling lets you maximize your descents.

What to Bring

A full-face helmet and pads are strongly recommended on Phillips Ridge. Bring plenty of water — the altitude and exposure will dehydrate you fast. And always check trail status with Teton Freedom Riders before heading up, as conditions change with weather and logging operations.
