If you've only mountain biked in Jackson Hole, you're missing half the fun. The valley and surrounding Teton Valley (over Teton Pass in Idaho) are a gravel cyclist's paradise — quiet dirt roads, big skies, and zero traffic.
Why Gravel Here
The network of agricultural and forest-service roads crisscrossing the valley offers endless route possibilities — from flat valley cruises to big climbs into the national forest. The scenery is pure Wyoming: sagebrush flats, aspen groves, and the Tetons looming over everything.
Classic Routes
Rides over Teton Pass into Teton Valley, Idaho, are legendary — long, scenic, and rewarding. Closer to Jackson, the levee roads and Mormon Row area offer flatter, historical gravel riding with iconic barn photo ops.
Gear Up
A gravel bike with 38-45mm tires is ideal. Bring extra tubes and a repair kit — cell service is limited on the back roads. And always carry more water than you think you'll need.
