Game Creek is a proper backcountry mountain bike adventure. Accessed from the Cache Creek trailhead, it takes you deep into the drainage for a long loop that's a rite of passage for local riders.

The Route

Most riders climb up the Cache Creek side and descend Game Creek, or vice versa. Either way, expect a full-day ride with significant climbing, remote terrain, and varied trail conditions from smooth flow to chunky technical.

Creek Crossings

Game Creek lives up to its name — expect multiple creek crossings, especially in early summer when snowmelt is high. Bring shoes you don't mind getting wet, or embrace the splash.

Come Prepared

This is backcountry riding. Carry a map, extra food and water, a repair kit, and layers. Cell service is spotty. Tell someone your plan. The payoff is solitude, wildlife, and some of the best descending in Jackson Hole.
