If there's one place that defines everyday mountain biking in Jackson Hole, it's Cache Creek. Just a few minutes' pedal from the Town Square, this network offers something for everyone — from mellow warm-up loops to lung-busting climbs and flowy descents.
Getting There
The main trailhead sits at the end of Cache Creek Drive. Parking is free and the gate is open dawn to dusk. From here you can link up dozens of trails in any combination.
Must-Ride Trails
Putt-Putt is the iconic beginner flow trail — smooth, rolling, and perfect for warming up or introducing new riders. Hagen-Hansen is a classic climb that rewards you with a fast, rooty descent. Wally's World and Game Creek offer longer, more adventurous backcountry loops for experienced riders.
Best Time to Ride
Cache Creek usually dries out and opens by late May or early June, depending on snowmelt. Mornings are coolest and quietest. Fall brings golden aspens and crisp, grippy dirt.
